EXCLUSIVE: Fox‘s The Cleaning Lady is bulking up its Season 3 cast with the addition of Brandon Jay McLaren (Snowfall, The Rookie) and JB Tadena (Kung Fu) in recurring roles. Season 3 will premiere on Tuesday, March 5 on Fox at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
McLaren will portray Jeremy Dolan, the guy we all wish we knew. He’s charming, smart, affable and can put anyone at ease, including Thony (Élodie Yung) whom he has an instant connection. Jeremy enters the world of The Cleaning Lady as a contractor-turned-entrepreneur, building his business with a personal approach. His openness about his life and his carpentry skills keep Jeremy in Thony’s orbit as she comes to rely on him for help. But below his trustworthy, charismatic façade lurks a sinister secret about his true character, a truth that will have dire consequences for all involved once revealed.
Tadena will portray Paolo Belleza, a fun-loving and charming guy with a breezy sense of humor and sexy confidence. Paolo owns and operates a “Turo Turo” food stall in Manila where he is loved by his community and has an intimate connection with the De La Rosa family.
Based on the hit original Argentine series, The Cleaning Lady follows Thony De La Rosa (Élodie Yung), a whip-smart Cambodian doctor who comes to the U.S. for medical treatment to save her ailing son, but when the system fails and attempts to push her down, Thony refuses to be marginalized and instead takes matters into her own hands. Forced to use unconventional measures to protect her family and save the ones she loves; Thony further crosses the moral line as she gets deeper entwined in the criminal underbelly of Las Vegas.
Fox promises the stakes are higher in Season 3 of the hit series and more intense than ever. From the mystery of Arman’s (Adan Canto) whereabouts to Thony’s efforts to bring Fiona (Martha Millan) back to the US after she was deported to the Philippines. As Thony’s journey continues to unfold, she is completely alone. Her world is turned upside down as she fights to protect her family, forcing her to take steps that deepen a new association with a dangerous Cartel.
McLaren’s most recent credits include roles in Freeform’s Everything’s Trash, FX’s Snowfall and ABC’s The Rookie and its spinoff series, The Rookie: Feds. He is also well-known for his roles in Ransom for CBS, USA Network’s Graceland, Netflix’s Firefly Lane, Bravo’s Girlfriends’ Guide To Divorce and AMC’s The Killing. He is repped by Buchwald, Berwick & Kovacik and Trisko Talent Management.
Tadena is best known for his role as Sebastian Cailao on the CW Drama Kung Fu which ended its third and final season last March. He was recently seen on Westworld, NCIS and SEAL Team; and recurs as Lolo Ben on the Disney animated series Firebuds. Tadena is repped by Wonder Street Management.
