NATIONAL SUMMIT ON QUALITY OF BIOLOGICALS

The National Institute of Biologicals is organising the National Summit on Quality of Biologicals on27th January 2023, onoccasion of its 31st Foundation Day at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
The National Summit will be a platform to bring together stakeholders, regulatory authorities & academia for interaction on various aspects of quality assurance of biologicals. These interactions will spearhead capacity building, technology enhancement and development of newer biologicals for promoting and safeguarding public health contributing towards government’s mandate of ‘Healthy India’.
Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya,Honorable Union Minister, Health and Family Welfare &Chemicals and Fertilisers, will inaugurate the Summit. Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar, Honorable Minister of State, Health and Family Welfare will be the guest of honor.
Dr. V.K. Paul, Member, NITI Aayog; Shri. Rajesh Bhushan, Secretary, Health and Family Welfare; Ms. S. Aparna, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers; Prof. Atul Goel, Director General of Health Service; Dr. Pramod Kumar Garg, Executive Director, THSTI; Prof. Y. K. Gupta, President AIIMS- Bhopal; will grace the summit.
The Summit will be attended by manufacturers of biopharmaceuticals, vaccines and diagnostics, regulators, procurement agencies, academicians and policymakers.The summit will comprise of sessions ‘Assuring Quality of Biologicals in India: Current scenario and future perspective’; ‘Biologicals: Regulatory aspects’; and ‘Step towards Aatmanirbharta: Connecting Industry with Academia’.
