Aaron Rodgers made a return to The Pat McAfee Show a day after host Pat McAfee said the NFL star had completed his fourth season on the show.
Rodgers made an appearance on the ESPN show to give his take on Bill Belichick moving on from the New England Patriots.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the last human that Bill Belichick talked to on the field as the New England Patriots head coach — Aaron Rodgers,” McAfee said as he introduced the New York Jets quarterback.
As Rodgers appeared on screen, the Super Bowl champ asked if they could see him, with McAfee telling him he looked “fantastic” and “clearer than wherever you usually call us from.” Rodgers said he was “out here in the woods” as he confirmed his “off-season” had started.
“I’ve been so insulated here… the internet is so spotty out here in the woods,” Rodgers said, catching up with all the NFL news that has come out lately while also hinting he hasn’t read the chatter about himself.
A day before, McAfee said “Aaron Rodgers Tuesday” was done and that Rodgers would no longer be appearing on the show, something that made him “happy.”
“There’s going to be a lot of people that are happy with that — myself included, to be honest,” McAfee said. “The way it ended, it got real loud and I’m happy that that is not going to be my [social media] mentions going forward.”
The ESPN show has been entangled in multiple controversies in the past week, which started when Rodgers insinuated Jimmy Kimmel was associated with Jeffrey Epstein and his name would appear on a list of associates.
McAfee would get into a media storm of his own when he called out ESPN executive Norby Williamson on his show, claiming he was trying to “sabotage” him.
